Question: Is it possible to reset a Xenium slide if tissue is placed incorrectly?
Answer: It is not possible to reset Xenium slides (with either fresh frozen or FFPE tissue) if tissue is placed outside the imageable area, sections overlap, or sections are covering the fiducials. Removing tissue and repeating the placement of sections can compromise the slide chemistry and lead to suboptimal assay performance.
We would recommend practicing sectioning and placement on blank, charged slides such as Superfrost Plus Microscope Slides (Fisher Scientific - 12-550-15) prior to proceeding with samples for Xenium.

Additional Xenium slides (PN-300094) can be purchased separately if additional slides are required in the event of improper tissue placement.
FFPE tissue blocks can also be purchased from third-party vendors for sectioning practice.
