Answer: No, the Chip M and Chip N HT chips are not available for purchase separately. The HT reagent and chip bundles are specifically designed to help customers achieve economy of scale for larger experiments requiring higher cell throughput. The reagent and chip kit bundle allows customers to maximize their cell throughput while keeping the cost per cell low. We recommend careful planning of experiments to ensure customers can make full use of their reagents.
When planning experiments, researchers can either scale up the number of cells they plan to run per sample or scale up the number of samples per experiment to achieve significant cost savings.
In most cases, the HT kit will be a better option for experiments that require processing a high number of samples (≥8) in a single run. However, the HT kit may also be the better option for experiments that utilize less than 8 samples but require a higher cell load per sample. For example, one 8 rxn HT kit can capture the same number of cells as a 16 rxn standard kit (~160,000 cells), for a reduced price and in a single run.
