Question: My image resolution is too low. I'm getting this error message:
[error] Tissue image incorrectly formatted:
2021/02/21 02:22:22 TinyImageError: Image width (950) and height (840) are not longer than expected reduced size 2000.
Answer: Space Ranger needs at least 2000 pixels in one dimension to be able to process the data. We recommend using a higher resolution image if at all possible; however, if you don't have one you can use image processing software (e.g., Fiji (https://imagej.net/Fiji) or GIMP (https://www.gimp.org)) to scale, sharpen, or add white space around the image. This will increase the dimensions of the image in pixels and allow the pipeline to run. However, this will not change the overall resolution of the image.
Please see our Visium Spatial Gene Expression Imaging Guidelines for more information about preparing images for analysis with Space Ranger.
