Question: What parts of the workflow on the Chromium Connect require manual intervention?
Answer: The required hands-on time for the initial deck and sample loading takes approximately 1 hour. Optional QCs such as the Emulsion check (GEM QC), cDNA QC and library QC also require manual intervention. When the GEM QC step is selected, the instrument will pause for a duration of 5 minutes for the user to visually examine emulsions. At this step, the screen will prompt the user to select GEM check Pass/Fail for each sample. The cDNA QC step allows the user to collect samples to perform QC steps off-deck. The instrument will pause until sample cDNA concentrations and SI PCR cycles are entered. Library QC is assessed off-deck at the end of the run.
