Question: How often do I need to perform maintenance on my Chromium Connect system?
Answer: It is recommended that daily maintenance be performed after every run on the Chromium Connect. At a minimum, the user should run the weekly maintenance at the end of the workweek and before the first run if the instrument hasn’t been in use for an extended period of time.
For users on Connect Software v2024.03.29 and later: Starting with the v2024.03.29 software, the daily and weekly maintenance procedures will be replaced with system checks and cleaning. See below cadence for those activities:
System Checks
When the Chromium Connect has not been used to successfully complete any workflows, the following "time-since-last-run" schedule will apply:
Level 1 - recommended before first run of the day (enforced every three days)
Level 2 - once every 15 days
Level 3 - once every 30 days
Level 4 - once every 2 months
Cleaning
Daily cleaning - recommended daily (enforced every three days)
Weekly cleaning - recommended and enforced weekly
