Question: What parts of the workflow are included on the Chromium Connect?
Answer: The Connect can provide an end-to-end continuous workflow from sample input to library generation. All library preparation steps from GEM generation, GEM-RT, cDNA amplification, and cleanup, and library construction are performed on the instrument deck. V(D)J amplification is an optional assay for samples processed with the 5’ workflow. Upon completion of the gene expression assays, other optional assays such as qPCR and pooling can be run from the same samples with a reload of the instrument deck.
Alternatively, the Connect allows for a flexible workflow option where samples can undergo GEM generation, GEM-RT, cDNA amplification, and clean up before removing for storage. cDNA can then be removed for storage, quantification, or assay-specific samples can be batched and placed on the Connect for Automated Library Construction.
