Question: How should I prepare mouse eye tissue for the Visium assay?
Answer: We processed fresh frozen whole mouse eye following our recommended sample preparation methods. There are better techniques to preserve the layer structure of the eye. Such methods involve micro-dissecting the eye so that it lays down flat. The flattened eye can then be simultaneously embedded and frozen and then sectioned. We have not tested these micro-dissection techniques in-house, therefore we recommend optimizing prior to placing tissue sections on Visium slides.
