Question: How should I store Xenium slides once fresh frozen tissue sections have been placed?
Answer: The following steps should be taken to store Xenium slides as described in Xenium In Situ for Fresh Frozen Tissues – Tissue Preparation Guide:
- Once the sample area of a Xenium slide contains tissue sections, place slides in a pre-cooled sealed container (slide mailer) on dry ice.
- Up to two slides can be placed in a mailer as long as the slides are not touching. Ensure the mailer is securely sealed.
- Transport container on dry ice to a -80°C freezer
- Store container containing slides at -80°C for up to 4 weeks.
