Why are more reads expressed/mapped to TRB than TRA?

Question: Why are more reads expressed/mapped to human TRB (T cell receptor beta) than TRA (T cell receptor alpha)?

Answer: In general, TRA transcripts are expressed at a lower level than TRB transcripts, although expression levels are cell-type dependent. Therefore, it is not uncommon to see more reads that map to TRB than TRA.
