Question: How long is genomic DNA stable?
Answer: In our experience, the stability of HMW genomic DNA depends on concentration and storage conditions. We recommend storing HMW DNA at >20ng/ul to minimize degradation during storage and storing DNA at -20C for long-term storage. HMW DNA <5 ng/ul tends to have reduced stability compared to a stock solution of >20 ng/ul.
If DNA concentration is < 5 ng/ul, we recommend to proceed with the Chromium Genome protocol with minimal delay.
DNA samples can be stored at 4C for short-term storage (<2 weeks).
